Industrial engineering exit exam: topics, format and how to prepare
Industrial engineering rewards systems thinking: optimisation, quality, human factors and economics applied to how work gets done. Many questions are short word problems, so the skill is translating a scenario into the right model quickly — which comes from repetition, not from re-reading formulas.

What does the industrial engineering exam cover?
Six official areas: operations research, engineering economy, ergonomics and work design, operations and logistics, facilities engineering, and quality engineering. Operations research and quality engineering carry the largest weight.
Are the questions mostly calculations?
A mix: some are calculations (queueing, economic equivalence, control charts) and some are conceptual (which layout suits which flow, what an ergonomic limit means). Do both types, not just the numerical ones.
How do I avoid running out of time?
Practise under a timer so the pace feels normal, and skip-and-return instead of stalling on one hard item. The timed mocks in the app are built for exactly that rehearsal.
